Young professionals from the Grohmann Group visit Quality Analysis

From small cracks to big insights

Young professionals from the Grohmann Group as our guests

Eight motivated young professionals from the Grohmann Group, accompanied by Managing Director Michael Parisi and Commercial Manager Annika Klein from MGH GussTec GmbH & Co KG, recently paid us a visit. The guests were given an exciting look behind the scenes of our service center.

After a presentation of our company by Mr. Faigle and our Senior Project Manager Sascha Raschinsky, we went straight into practice: We presented the enormous variety of analysis methods in materialography and chemical analysis. Our division manager Birgit Lanitz used illustrative examples from the casting industry to show the young professionals how our work is applied in their professional field. In particular, the structural analysis of a cylinder head and the detective search for the causes of damage in the event of material failure provided some aha moments - true to the motto: from small cracks to big findings.

During a subsequent tour of our service center, the visitors were able to look over the shoulders of our experts at work – for example during sample preparation, examination on the FIB-SEM or hardness testing. After lunch, there was still time for questions and a lively exchange. For us, it was a great opportunity to share ideas, pick up new impulses and perhaps even lay the foundations for future collaborations.

Quality Analysis offers customized solutions for battery analyses over the entire life cycle of a battery

Battery Recycling Conference
June 11-12, 2025 in Frankfurt

Strong response at the Battery Recycling Conference & Expo

We can look back on two successful days at the trade fair in Frankfurt: our stand was a real eye-catcher and our interactive word cloud invited many stimulating discussions with trade visitors from industry, research and development. In particular, the challenges in quality assurance and damage analysis of battery cells and in the recycling process were discussed.

Expansion at Quality Analysis with doubling of usable space

Standing still is a step backwards - ground-breaking ceremony for extension building

The ground-breaking ceremony for our long-planned extension at the Großer Forst site took place at the end of October 2024. In order to meet the growing demand for our high-quality services, we are expanding our laboratory area and adding to the rear part of our hall aisle. This will double our floor space from the current 2,300 m² to more than 4,500 m² - an enormous increase in space that will benefit both logistics and our specialist departments. The latter in particular have grown significantly in terms of equipment and personnel in recent years. The highly frequented logistics area has been given more space and at the same time benefits from numerous technical innovations that ensure smooth delivery and collection of your test pieces. A particular focus is on the spatial expansion of the Materialography and Chemical Analysis laboratories, which will have their own new hall sections and new analysis systems. The new departments of Microbiology, Pharmacy and Medical Technology are also in the starting blocks - the future can come!

Workplace gardening in the office garden with workshops

Workplace Gardening – real organic from the office garden

As part of our extension, we have launched an exciting project: Workplace Gardening. We are transforming 500 m² of our outdoor space into a green retreat that not only provides relaxation, but also delivers fresh vegetables directly to the office door!

Twelve spacious raised beds are being created, each 300 cm long, 100 cm wide and with a comfortable height of 85 cm – perfect for back-friendly working. Protected by dense hedges and framed by planting islands, berry hedges, shady trees, benches, bee and insect hotels and two heated greenhouses with their own composting facilities, the beds not only offer an idyllic view, but also the opportunity to spend lunch breaks, the end of the working day or even the weekend in the office garden.
