Determination of the total fluorine using CIC

The state-of-the-art analysis technique Combustion Ion Chromatography (CIC) extends the range of applications of ion chromatography to flammable solid and liquid samples. With CIC, we can determine the total fluorine content of a sample and support you in testing your samples for freedom from halogens, e.g. in accordance with requirements such as RoHs, WEEE and IEC 60502-1.
The CIC is indispensable for quality control, environmental monitoring and for monitoring limit values from legal regulations and standards. The following is a small excerpt of the numerous areas of application for combustion ion chromatography:
- Environmental analysis: Analysis of soil and water samples for pollutants
- Electronics manufacturing: Identification and quantification of halogenated flame retardants generated during production and disposal
- Fuel industry: Analysis of the composition of petrol, kerosene and crude oil
- Plastics analysis: Determination of halogenated compounds in plastics processing
