Your reliable partner for comprehensive test and analytical methods
As one of the leading test laboratories in the German-speaking region, we have a broad spectrum of analyses at our disposal. Thanks to our six specialist areas and the latest equipment, we can assist you in all disciplines related to industrial quality assurance. These disciplines include chemical and materialographic analyses, CT, tactile and optical measuring tasks, as well as technical cleanliness verification. Thanks to this broad positioning, we are able to solve even complex tasks efficiently, dependably and precisely. Our highly qualified team would be pleased to assist you optimise your production processes and ensure product quality.
OUR AREAS OF FOCUS
Industrial computed tomography
With industrial computed tomography (ICT) we look inside your component without destroying it. With high-resolution CT systems in the performance classes up to 450 kV, we prepare a 3D volume model and analyse the internal and external characteristics of your component. We can even assess complex geometries straightforwardly in this manner.
ICT is ideal for evaluating component quality, sound product and process development, damage analysis, process monitoring and requalification. You receive from us nominal-actual comparisons, the determination of shape and position tolerances, statements about porosity, defects, cracks, wall thicknesses and assembly states.
Optical metrology
Optical metrology is the method of choice when your components need to be digitised quickly and thoroughly without contact and made available as a 3D model. As the component is not touched during 3D scanning, in contrast to tactile measurement technology, almost all materials, including soft and unstable components, can be detected. The spectrum ranges from prototypes, battery and vehicle components, injection molded and die-cast components to museum exhibits.
With the 3D digitisation of your component, the quality can be monitored during the production process - even directly on site - and production downtime can be avoided. We have numerous options for evaluating and analyzing the 3D data, such as surface comparisons against the CAD model, statistical trend analyses, shape and position calculations and even reverse engineering.
Industrial metrology
You have a measuring task – we support you quickly, professionally and with our extensive experience. With the latest 3D co-ordinate measuring machines, accredited measuring rooms and experienced experts, we have the capacity and the know-how to provide you with informative, highly precise measurement results even at short notice.
We check for you standard geometries, freeform surfaces, shape and position tolerances as well as surfaces, roughness and contours – from the individual dimension on initial samples and workpieces to serial measurement. For data acquisition we combine tactile and optical metrology, as well as 3D computed tomography, as necessary. As such we exploit the specific strengths of the measurement methods used for your measuring task.
Technical cleanliness verification
Capitalise on your quality advantage due to technical cleanliness verification: we analyse the cleanliness of function-related components, assemblies, systems and fluids. During this process we acquire, extract and analyse existing inorganic or organic particles as well as contaminating films on functional surfaces. For this purpose, all extraction techniques as well as the complete spectrum of analysis methods for all component sizes are available and can be adapted to all standards.
Cleanliness analysis prevents the impairment of functionality up to and including system damage and is a fixed element of quality assurance today. Applications are initial sampling, evaluation, requalification as well as incoming and outgoing inspection and the monitoring of manufacturing processes.
Materialography
Optimise products and processes with informative analyses: for questions about the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of a material, materialography is the correct answer.
The destructive material testing is used for microstructure analysis, weld seam analysis, layer thickness measurement, organic and inorganic analyses as well as material analysis, hardness measurement along with damage analysis and research into causes. Our microscopic material analyses help you to check production processes, prevent damage, find the causes if damage occurs and optimise processes in product development. Materialography can also clarify the causes if components fail.
Chemical analytics
With chemical analytics, we accompany your production or development process analytically and analyse plastics and their additives, chemical-filmic contamination, particulate contamination and water samples, such as water-mixed cooling lubricants, cleaning baths or process water. We qualify and quantify chemical substances using various analytical methods in wet-chemical analytics and instrumental analytics.
The results assist you during product development, while monitoring and controlling the quality of products and raw materials, during the validation and optimisation of processes, as well as during the identification of residues and contamination on component surfaces.
Added value at QUALITY ANALYSIS
